About Me

I'm Parushi Gupta, a Writer-Director based in Mumbai. My work sits in the space between what people carry and what they're finally forced to say out loud — women confronting buried guilt, families relearning how to sit in the same room, the quiet unraveling before someone tells the truth, and the journey of grief. I've directed six short films exploring this territory, including Draupadi se Draupadi tak, an adaptation of Amrita Pritam's Ek Khamosh Kadam; Jamun, a surrealist portrait of a guilt-ridden wife inspired Draupadi's guilt from the story Jamun in Mahabharath ; Kintsugi, on a man's unraveling grief for his late partner; and Ghar, on a family relearning togetherness amid quiet emotional distance. On the commercial side, I recently directed campaigns for Ayuvya Diabo Plus and Policy Bazaar, bringing the same instinct for emotional truth to brand storytelling. I hold a Master's in Film Direction from Whistling Woods International, Mumbai, and a Bachelor's in Mass Communication from IP University, Delhi — where I also spent years writing scripts for ad films before stepping behind the camera. I'm currently directing ad films and developing original work for feature and web-show formats.
